Speedo Nirvana

Okay, so here's the deal -- Some of you guys have been holding out on me. Now I know where some of you have been getting your big, beefy photos of beautiful wet swimmers. 

I feel tonight like I might as well pack up and quit. Not because I'm discouraged. On the contrary. There are certainly more blogs posting really fine speedos pix out here in blogland than ever before. No, my reason is this: I've seen the best, and its name is Adam's Candids.

I can't believe it took me so long to find Adam's blog. A credit to Beautiful Guys Aplenty, a relatively new blog to which I just subscribed. BGA's author, Ruben C., noted in one post that Adam's Candids was his favorite blog. So I gulped, and clicked, and fell to my knees while miraculously still seated.

Speedos and swimmers are far from his only subjects, but Adam likes swimmers a lot. He also likes to post sets, like I do, and his photos a r e H-U-G-E and crystal clear. I will hold back on the sets for now, but here are some standalone gems he's posted. And if you think I'm being over the top or tongue in cheek, I dare ya.  Go see for yourself.

One of the posts here received a comment from iCandy yesterday. Simply Sweet / iCandy one of my favorite blogs, and I look at it nearly every day. It's amazing how often we rely on someone else's work in blogging. I feel remiss in pointing out that iCandy has made 90 posts so far that are speedo oriented. And just going back through that blog yesterday revealed dozens of competition swimming photos I'd missed in past forays there.

Blue Blue Blue Update

Speaking of set updates, the largest version of one of my favorite photos ever popped up one recent evening while browsing on Flickr. The previous posting from this William set was also from last February. Wow.

Pacific Tigers

Anyone who watches speedo websites & blogs has likely seen this photo (or one of its companions below).  The last time I ran this photo was February '08 in a Sidebar Pix posting.

In the past few months more and more photos of this water polo player and his teammates have been appearing here and there. I've got a good set now.   So I thought it was time for an update.  I did a little Googling today to get some more info on him, and them.

They are the Pacific University Tigers Mens' Water Polo Team, and he is junior Joey Rossi. There's a small slide show on the team's homepage.
