Matthew Mitcham Gets His Own Stamp

Gay Olympic Gold-Winning Diver Matt Mitcham Gets His Own Postage Stamp, according to the wonderful Gay news blog, Towleroad. Outsports.com's Jock Talk Blog has an extensive article on Mitcham, and reports that he is still looking for the kind of sponsorship deal that has gone to other Olympic athletes.

Men's Journal Uncovers Mr. Phelps (again) and Mr. Lochte

Kenneth in the 212 ran a spread of photos from Men's Journal on Friday of some great photos of Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte. I found his post via Tottyworld today. Towleroad also covered this Men's Journal issue and included a link to the MJ slideshow of outtakes from the article. Ditto for SCAQ (Southern California Aquatics).

I've been cataloging more than 200 Michael Phelps photos (and more than 50 Ryan Lochte images). Wet Speedos will be running a series of photo spreads of Olympic swimmers, including Team USA members -- including Phelps, of course -- in the coming weeks.

Mathew Mitcham Gets Some More Press

Australia's SX Magazine this month feature's a photo session and interview with Aussie Olympic team diver Matthew Mitcham, who came out with a lot of fanfare in May. Wet Speedos covered his coming out previously in two postings here and here.

This month, CBS News on Logo interviewed Lifesavers with Pride at the Sydney Gay Mardi Gras. (click on this link to see the video on the Lifesavers with Pride blog.)

This seemed an appropriate moment to revisit Sydney's out and proud gay lifesavers, who according to this month's CBS story now number more than 90 trained lifesavers.
