Ben Kimura

Ben Kimura is a wonderful Japanese illustrator and artist who paints the most exquisite men, mostly athletes, and that includes a lot of swimmers and well-carved men in tiny speedos. He is represented by Studio Kaiz, a Japanese online gallery (the website is in Japanese, except for a few headers).

A few years ago, I happened on a number of large images of his paintings, and turned them into wallpapers for my own desktop. Then I saw nothing more about him until recently, when I stumbled on some of his newer speedo images with his gallery's name on a few different art blogs. So, here for your pleasure, and perhaps for your consideration, are some of my favorite Ben Kimura paintings as mirror-style wallpapers. Most are 1365 x 1024. Three are 1680 x 1050.

When it Rains ... Again

How about another one I've never heard of? I found yet another blog through a photo credit in another White Speedos posting: Gay Softwear. This one has a few more competition images than Speedos4u, but primarily I think Gay Softwear has a very unique navigation and layout structure and a lot of varied content. Interesting.

New Blog Added to the Roll

Just found a new speedos Blogger blog called Speedos4u through a posting on White Speedos.

Not many competition photos yet, but a lot of muscly guys on beaches and posing in gyms as well as fashion guys, etc.

Speaking of Matthew ...

Hot Aussie Famous Males earlier this month posted a cute photo spread of Matthew's new synchronized diving partner, Grant Nel, being interviewed on TV. No speedos in this batch, but he is clearly as handsome as Matthew.

Been Looking for This One

Saw this image somewhere awhile back, and then I couldn't find it. You might recognize this guy. I did a post on him back in March of 2008, called "Black Speedos, Purple Cap." Check it out, and tell me if you think I'm right (I could be wrong). I think I may have even seem some other photos of this swimmer elsewhere recently. If I find them, I will post them, along with the new, larger set.

Marz-ipan

I've seen Marzo77's name signed to a number of male wallpapers over time. I had not seen his Flickr pages before today, however. He has a lot of swimming images converted into 1024 x 768 wallpapers, some of them employing the same mirror image technique I like to use with my own papers. These are mostly images I've never posted before, and some of them are quite wonderful. Enjoy.
