Happy Birthday David Davies

This morning, Tottyland has a small post on 24-year-old (as of yesterday 03-03-09) Welsh-born British Olympic swimmer David Davies (the first five shots). I've added a few more at the bottom.

US Lifeguards in Speedos?

Aussie Speedo Guy Dave Evans posted these fantastic photos of several "US lifeguards" in speedos on February 22, and I just had to repost them here.

US lifeguards don't wear speedos as a rule (I've never seen a trio like this except at gay resorts), so this is a moment to celebrate, if true.*

Dave credits a member named SwimDave2 of the WhiteSpeedos.com forum (link on our list at left) for originally posting these.

*A reader has pointed out that in the last photo, there is a license plate on the rear of the lifeguard truck that says "CA Exempt." His opinion was that the location is Santa Monica. The hill behind could easily be on the north end of Will Rogers State Beach, so perhaps! Thanks to this reader.

Shannon's Coogee Ironmen Pix

Shannon also posted some pix from the Coogee Nutri-Grain Ironman contest. I miss the water.

Lifesavers with Pride on TV

Aussielicious reported on Feb. 21 that Australia's Foxtel filmed a profile piece on Lifesavers With Pride -- of which author Brenton (left, I believe) is a member, along with Shannon (second from left). The lifesaving team has had their own float in Sydney's Mardi Gras parade the past two years.

"They filmed us this morning running in and out of the water, along the edge of the water, doing a rescue and also, embarrassingly, rehearsing a very clumsy run through of our routine so far," said Brenton. "I can’t wait to see what they put together and which bits of the interviews they did with us all that they use."

Shannon also covered this publicity for Lifesavers with Pride.

Congratulations, guys!

Update - More Ironmen from Coogee Beach

Nick C. at Adventures of Gay Boys has just posted an even larger edition of his Nutri-Grain Ironman contest from Coogee Beach in Sydney, than he did (I reposted them) on Friday.

I hope Nick doesn't mind, because these are so good, I want to post them all here. This is a big, beautiful folio. Go visit his excellent new blog, which has a mixture of news and hot guys, and dream of sunny Australia, where it's summer.

I'll do some more wallpapers from these two sets from Nick shortly.
