Underwater Hockey

This is a new one on me: Underwater Hockey, or Hockey Subaquatique (or Hockey Sub), as it is referred to in a couple of postings on A Cause des Garcons, a venerable French gay boy blog I've read for some time now. I just discovered it was not in Wet Speedo's blogroll, so now it is. This seemed like as good an opportunity as any to introduce A Cause des Garcons here.

I think the photos from their two postings on this new sport are very intriguing. But -- considering my own wonderful but rough experiences playing water polo, where the worst thing that can happen is being pantsed or groined -- I'm not sure I want to play a similar game underwater with a snorkle and mask to boot.

A Cause des Garcons also routinely features international swimming stars and competitions, so there is a wealth of both "in gear" and fashion spreads of stars like Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte and Eamon Sullivan in their blog. It is a wonderful visual and informational resource for swimming fans. Check it out regularly.

Red Diver Update

A surprise new photo recently appeared from a set previously featured here in January, and it prompted me to look back at that earlier posting and at other diver photos recently found. I discovered that a larger image of one photo in that earlier set had been archived as well.

This called for a set update, and some wallpapers. Enjoy!

New Mutual Link & Set Update

Urban Pulp, a handsome new French blog, wrote last week to request a mutual link. And we gladly returned the favor. While Urban Pulp focuses more on fashion than athletes, and is less frequently posted than Wet Speedos, the blog has taste, as one would expect of a produit francais.

Urban Pulp's best speedo post to date (in my opinion) featured a handsome, blue-suited, waterpolo player whom most of you are now familiar with. Here are Urban Pulp's photos and some others from that beautiful set (previously posted here in January), along with some new wallpapers.

Anyone out there have any other photos of this very handsome hunk?

Legging Line-Ups

A couple of other swimming blogs have posted photos of award ceremonies and starts featuring Andy Grant and other top swimmers recently. These images reminded me why I'm attracted to the look of leggings on lean, athletic swimmers.

I've made some wallpapers for my own desktop from these photos, and I wanted to share them with you.

For those of you who prefer more conventional speedo styles, I'll get back to those tomorrow.

Speedo Jack posted a very kind welcome back to WetSpeedos today. He's been posting some spectacular sets of color-coordinated speedo pix of late, and this blog tips its hat right back in his direction.

Wet Speedos is Back

Sorry for the long absence, everyone. It's been a very busy three weeks, and this is not the only one of my blogs to have felt the results of my needing to spend my time elsewhere.
